Congress Gala Dinner
The Congress Gala Dinner is being served at Hotel Bristol, Kristian IV's gate 7, 0164 Oslo.
The venerable and historic Hotel Bristol is located in the heart of Oslo.
Time: Friday 25th of October 2019 from 19.00 – 22.30
A special banquet menu will be offered with wine, beer, drinks and Norwegian Musical Entertainment
The Congress Gala Dinner fee is € 95,- (cash or by bank transfer) and € 100,- for a credit card payment.
During the Gala Dinner the musical entertainment will be taken care of by “Musicantus”.
Musicantus is a group of musicians interested in history and music - and thereby historical music and music instruments. There will be about 11 musicians performing at the congress gala dinner, being dressed in clothes based on historic clothing. On this occasion they will be dressed more like the Vikings than the medieval styles, as this is to show traditional Norwegian (or Scandinavian) artistic styles.
The music they perform is both vocal and instrumental music from Norway (medieval ballads) and from Europe. They have music from England, Spain, France, Sweden and Italy on their repertoire-list, the newest music is from around 1500.
The audience will be informed about their music, instruments and songs. However most of the songs texts will be difficult to understand, as they are in Norwegian, or in so old Spanish, English, Italian and French that modern tongue will have problems understanding.
We are sure that “Musicantus” will be able to entertain you to your taste and satisfaction before, during and after dinner.
