Spousal violence is a major societal problem and one of the most essential tasks in the field of risk assessment and risk management is to improve the accuracy in identifying victims, particularly women, at high risk and, consequently, develop strategies for reducing and managing that risk. The last decades research has, among other things, resulted in various risk assessment instruments with various, and sometimes even conflicting, approaches. What approach should we use? What are the pros and cons with various approaches and instruments? Dr Belfrage will in his presentation discuss various approaches to risk assessment in this context.
