A rights-based perspective on violence
Patricia Rickard-Clarke is a solicitor and former Commissioner of the Law Reform Commission. She is Chair of the Law Society’s Mental Health & Capacity Task Force and Chair of the Third AGE’s National Advisory Council of SAGE, Support and Advocacy Service for Older People. She is a lay member of the Council of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. Patricia was appointed the independent chair of the National Inter-Sectoral Committee for Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults in December 2015. She is a member of the Health Services Executive (HSE) Assisted Decision-Making Steering Committee.
